7 tips for dry and tired winterhair
Winter is upon us, the world is losing color and shine, and so is your hair. 1: Be aware of bad hair-brushes
To take the best care of your hair, you should avoid the completely straight hair brushes and at the same time avoid brushing the hair with too hectic strokes. Rather choose a softer brush, and always brush the tips first and work your way up towards the scalp. If you pull from the scalp down, the brush gets caught more easily in filtered knots and you end up breaking the hair more often.
2: Use a mild shampoo
There are so many fancy shampoos out there on the market, but what your hair really needs is just to be washed clean. Therefore, choose a mild shampoo that only washes out the dirt, so you avoid the hair's natural oils running out into the drain and your scalp drying out.
3: Don’t wash your hair every day
If you wash your hair too often, you wear it unnecessarily. As said, you should only wash your hair to remove dirt, and if you wash it too often, you ironically end up with more oily hair, as the scalp will compensate for the pronounced dryness that the hair wash creates. So you end up in a vicious circle that you could easily have avoided.
4: Don’t wash your hair with too hot water
It is winter and cold and dark outside, but even if you are tempted to take a hot bath, remember not to wash your hair in too hot water. The heat dries out the hair, making it more fragile, making it easier to break.
5: Watch your towel!
If you are too crazy about the towel when you dry your hair, you end up breaking the poor strands of hair. It is also not best to blow dry too much, as the heat can lead to more dry hair. The most appropriate thing is to squeeze the water out with the towel after the shower.
6: Don’t sleep with your hair up
If you have long hair, it gets in the way easily - even when you sleep. But rather leave the hair free than put it up in a ponytail or a tuber in the neck. It wears on the hair to be set up all the time, and it will gradually make it more fragile.
